The game of Durak
Our version is played with a 32-card German-suited deck and has one twist: everyone gets a secret trump that only they can see. Until they reveal it, the others can only guess its suit. You beat a card with a higher one of the same suit and then add one more card. Czechs also call the game Durák or Dudák, Slovaks Ďurák.

Durak rules
Goal
Get rid of all your cards. Whoever is left holding cards is the loser.
Cards
The letters in a card's corner: U = Unter, O = Ober, K = King, A = Ace. The Unter and the Ober are these cards' jack and queen.
Secret trump
Everyone gets one hidden trump card. Only you see it, and you can’t play it until you reveal it.
Leading
On an empty table, lead exactly one card, any card.
Beating
Beat the top card with a higher card of the same suit. Then you must add one more card, any card.
Revealed trump
You beat any other suit with any card of your trump suit, and the same suit only with a higher card.
When to reveal
You reveal your trump only at the start of your turn, and nobody makes you. A hidden trump doesn’t count as the second card after beating.
Taking the pile
With a revealed trump you take the whole pile. With a hidden one, only the unbroken run of cards in the top card’s suit.
Turn time
You have 40 seconds for the whole turn, revealing your trump and the second card after beating included; otherwise a bot plays it and your next turn has only 20 seconds. Play a turn in time and you get 40 again. After two missed turns the bot keeps playing until you tap I’ll play at the start of your turn.
Leaving and bots
Whoever leaves the game gets a bot in their seat. They can come back while the game runs; otherwise they lose. If you lose the connection, a bot plays for you until you are back.

Can two people play Durak?
Yes. Durak is for two to six players. When there are only two of you, bots can fill free seats.
What is the secret trump?
At the start everyone gets one hidden card. Its suit is your trump. Once you reveal it, it beats any other suit. But when you then have to take, you take the whole pile.
How do I play Durak with friends far away?
Tap New table and send your friends the link or the table code. Whoever opens the link sits down with you. They need to install nothing.
